Week 8- Excel
Welcome to Week 8!
Congratulations on everything you have accomplished with Word and PowerPoint! Now it is time to turn our thought towards Excel. Excel is a good place for a database (such as AIMS scores), or to have a place for bills.
Have fun with these assignments. If you are having problems, please make sure to ask for help!
Assignment 1-Sorting
For each part of this assignment, you will be creating a new sheet with the sorted activity. There will be 5 sheets all together. Please rename the sheets with the name of the sort (ie: a-z, elements, overall score...etc).
You will find the original document below. Make sure to copy it to 5 different sheets for each sort! The filename is lastname.sorting.
1. Sort by last name, A-Z
2. Sort by Elements of Literature, smallest to largest.
3. Sort by the overall score, largest to smallest.
4. Sort by Vocabulary score, least to greatest.
5. Sort by the overall score in Comprehending Informational Text, greatest to least.

Create a bill (or savings) for your own use. For example, pretend you are buying a couch, or a new video game system. How often will you need to pay? How much do you need to pay in total? Or, you can save money for the new PlayStation. How much will you need to save each week or month? How much money do you need altogether?
_____Your filename must be Lastname.bills.xlsx
_____You must have a category for: Date Paid, Due Date, Amount Paid, Balance, Balance Paid, and Total Amount Due.
_____You must have 10 dates to pay, which means 10 formulas in your balance column.
_____You also need to have a formula in your first payment column.
_____You must also have a formula in your Balance Paid column.
**That is a total of 12 formulas when you are done. Make sure they are correct!
If you can make a check next to each of these items, then you can get 100%!
When you are done, your excel sheet should look like this:

Do not forget to complete your bell work daily. It is worth 5 points per day, and is due on Friday. This week is Bellwork8, and will be worth 25 points total.
